From Springleap to Idea Bounty, crowdsourcing is big business these days. The term officially first coined in 2006 an article in Wired magazine and the article pointed out that the gap between professionals and amateurs is narrowing, allowing companies to utilise the knowledge of the general public. The economical advantages of crowdsourcing are obvious but what about the negative aspects of using non professionals for something of professional quality?
