Campaign: SA Tourism SADC
Requirements:
SA Tourism wanted to increase the visits of tourists from the SADC countries. Knowing that SMS had begun to emerge as the prevalent communication medium in these territories their agency, FirstComm, approached Fontera to manage a multi-country campaign in the selected countries.
Fontera Solution:
Fontera set up a system that allowed people to enter the competition from Botswana, Mozambique, Lesotho and Swaziland. The system ran simultaneously in all four countries and the response was overwhelming considering it was the first campaign of its type to be executed.
Conclusion:
The campaign was so successful that a similar competition was run in Kenya in 2007.
