Campaign: Kings and Castles Metro FM Birthday

Requirements:
Inroads and Metro FM got together and gave away a house to promote Metro FM’s 19th birthday. The promotion called for a robust system that could be easily altered if and when the campaign mechanism needed to be changed. Full reporting to multiple outputs and complete auditability was needed throughout the campaign.

Fontera Solution:
Fontera employed a customized version of RadioTXT for the campaign in which listeners were invited to vote for their top daytime DJ on Metro FM. Specific development was done during the campaign to alter the mechanism to allow for multiple winners to be chosen 4 times per day and drive more votes.

Conclusion:
The competition generated so much interest that it had to be extended. It became one of the most successful campaign ever to be run on radio in SA and drew hundreds of thousands of entries. Another house is to be given away soon.
