Requirements:
Total wanted to boost sales at La Boutique Convenience stores at their gas stations nationwide. They decided to incentivise customers to make use of the stores. Write-in competitions had failed to generate a sufficient number of entries and they were looking for a new entry mechanism that would be quick, easy and attractive to customers.
Fontera Solution:
Customers purchasing any item from the convenience stores at Total Gas Stations nationwide were given a 7 digit unique number. They had to text the unique number to Fontera on a Premium Rate number to win prizes such as SONY Playstation PS2's and tickets to sporting events such as the Rugby World Cup Final. Monthly prize-draws were made for the first 3 months and then a final draw was made at the end of October for the Rugby World Cup tickets.
Conclusion:
Total have said it was the most successful competition they have run with more than double the amount of entries from previous competitions. They plan to run another one soon. |
